INTERFACE
Several changes have been done to the UI. Now it brings more visual comfort and faster configuration whether you are experience or beginner CAD user.
UNICODE & GRAPHICAL DISPLAY
GstarCAD8 is able to open drawings which contain multi-language texts thanks to Unicode support. The graphical display technology built-in GstarCAD8 allows display objects faster than ever enhancing user design experience.
LAYER MANAGEMENT
Manage layer properties like color, linetype, linewidth, lineweight and plot styles within a viewport created at layout space. The layer modifications you have done cannot be applied at model space.
OBJECTS EDITION
GstarCAD8 makes easier editing polyline and hatch objects through Xtra-grips. Now you can stretch a polyline or hatch pattern by holding and dragging any extra grip.
MODIFY COMMANDS
Two daily used commands have been enhanced. Now you can use MATCHPROP across open drawings and OFFSET option (both) to generate a symmetric copy of a selected object.
HATCH SETTINGS
Hatch patterns do not have to be cold as a 2D representation. In GstarCAD8 you can apply color and background to hatch patterns. Get better visualization to your drawing representation.
EDIT REFERENCE
Access quickly to any edit reference option at the ribbon under the edit reference tab when editing a block reference as sample.
SHORTCUT CUSTOMIZE
A faster way to invoke a command is by customizing its shortcut. In GstarCAD8 the CUSTACC command allows you to customize, delete or modify existing command shortcuts.
CUI (Drag and Drop Customization)
Drag and drop customization is an innovative way to quickly customize user interface environment by dragging and placing any command you need to any ribbon panel.
Multileaders
Multileader is an annotative function and is used to attach annotation to multiple leader lines. Multileader give additional information or special instruction in a point or specific area on your drawing.
Magnifier
Magnifier is an innovative tool that not only helps to view drawing details or snap points without performing the traditional zoom in/out, pan or even regen commands on big drawings but also is easy of use and customize.
