PDF Underlay – GstarCAD 2015 New Feature

PDF underlay is another new feature regarding to file connectivity. This function now can be found in GstarCAD 2015 and has been widely used in many large design companies.

With PDF underlay, designers can attach the PDF data in their own GstarCAD drawing files.

Take landscape design as an example. Designers receive a PDF file of the building project which includes a floor plan and will use it as starting point of the landscape design. Simply choose the appropriate one during the attach operation.

Some parameters like insertion, rotation and scale point can be set before attaching the PDF. Also designers can adjust the underlay display like contrast, fade, monochrome, and colors for background through the properties palette.
